New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has opened the registration process for JEE Advanced 2026 for foreign nationals, including OCI and PIO (F) candidates. The application window opened on April 6 and will remain active until May 2, 2026.
Candidates can complete fee payment by May 4, while the examination is scheduled to be conducted on May 17, 2026, in computer-based mode.
Early Window for Foreign Applicants
In a departure from the schedule for Indian candidates, foreign nationals are allowed to register earlier. Registration for Indian candidates is expected to begin later in April, following the announcement of JEE Main results.
Notably, foreign candidates are not required to qualify JEE Main, and can apply directly for JEE Advanced, subject to meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria.
Eligibility and Category Clarification
The foreign category includes:
- Non-Indian passport holders
- Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) candidates
- Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) under the foreign category
Such candidates are considered under a supernumerary quota, meaning their seats are allocated separately and do not impact the general intake pool for Indian applicants.
Applicants must, however, meet conditions related to age, number of attempts, and qualifying examination performance, as outlined in the official information brochure.

Candidates seeking to apply must visit the official JEE Advanced website and complete the online application process. This includes:
- Registration with valid personal and academic details
- Uploading necessary documents such as passport and academic certificates
- Payment of the prescribed application fee
Only completed applications with successful fee payment will be considered.
